The 'Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants' Reunited To Celebrate Some Very Special News

"Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood."

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants cast is the true embodiment of, well, sisterhood. Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, Blake Lively, and Amber Tamblyn starred together in the 2005 book adaptation about a group of young women who share a magical pair of jeans. In real life, they may not wear the same pants, but their bond seems just as strong.

On Tuesday, the actresses excited fans by posing together for a new photo, this time celebrating America Ferrera's happy news — she's pregnant with her first child. The Superstore star shared the announcement on New Year's Eve. All of her former co-stars are moms themselves, so it's lovely to see them showing their support.

"Sisterhood of the traveling maternity pants. Let's do this," one fan responded to the photo on Twitter. Another declared that "2018 is already shining" because of this reunion.

The women of the cast have more in common than their motherhood, however. Tamblyn, Ferrera, and Lively all posted about the Time's Up initiative over the new year. The new movement, supported by hundreds of women in Hollywood, is working to fight sexual harassment and protect survivors in all industries.

"Didn't think anything could beat kicking off the new year with the #TIMESUP initiative, but then..." Tamblyn wrote to accompany the photo with her co-stars. Ferrera mentioned the movement in her own tweet, writing, "Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood. We've got work to do for the next generation. Let's get to it. #TIMESUP."

This isn't the first time the Sisterhood has gotten back together since working on the film and its 2008 sequel. The women have reunited several times over the years. In 2014, for example, Bledel, Lively, and Tamblyn watched Ferrera perform in the off-Broadway play Lips Together, Teeth Apart. Earlier that year, the foursome got together for brunch. More recently, Ferrera visited Tamblyn and her baby daughter Marlow.

There have also been rumors (and hopes) for another sequel starring the four friends. Tamblyn recently told a fan on Facebook that there is a "very good possibility" of another movie, adding, "I can't say anything else other than we've been working on something for a while, and there's hope."

Until then, we're happy to witness their real-life sisterhood.
